Zero Trust for AI agents: identity, policy, and approval

A security brief on applying identity, least privilege, policy checks, and approval gates to AI-assisted work.

Layered Zero Trust shield connected to a human approval gate

Zero Trust for AI-assisted work begins with the same assumption used elsewhere in modern security: no actor, request, or tool invocation receives implicit trust.

Controls around every action

  • Use a distinct workload identity instead of shared credentials.
  • Grant the minimum connector scope required for the task.
  • Evaluate policy before tools are called and before results are released.
  • Require human approval for protected external or destructive actions.
  • Log the request, decision, actor, and outcome.

These are design principles, not certification claims. Zurvina is in early access, and the security page distinguishes current controls from roadmap items.
